Love itJul 12, 2010 Such a great workout. As a runner, I always find it tough to lift weights afterwards. This book breaks down the workouts, mixes up the exercises, and keeps things interesting as you go through the program. I was always a "work out book" skeptic, but this book has really kept me motivated. Although I am still in the early start of the workout, I have seen results in my arms and back already!
If you need motivationMay 23, 2009 The book gives great pictures and instructions on how to properly lift weights. I ended up not really using it b/c I started going to the gym and did not bring the book w/ me. However, I know people who have done that and they thought it was great. I would recommend this to people who do not have enough motivation on their own and need an extra boost to get moving.
exercise instructions onlyApr 09, 2009 This book is a great review and description of several exercises to do. It does have a section in the beginning about choosing the right dress for your body type which was small, but helpful. There is absolutely zero useful discussion of food. However, the pictures and description of the exercises were pretty good. It is true that they require very little room to complete, but there is nothing new or unique about them.

a little blahMar 02, 2009 It was okay but I was looking for a little bit more. I don't feel it motivated nor gave good workouts to really get me in shape.

Highly recommend this book!Feb 08, 2009 Love this book! Easy to read, understand, and I enjoy how the workouts vary from day to day. It takes me about an hour to go through the whole thing, as you need to make sure you are focusing on doing the workouts properly, as opposed to just rushing through the reps. I always feel great afterwards and I appreciate that the author takes into consideration how a beginner should start out and then increase the challenge over time. It's also nice that it only requires basic equipment and minimal space. I'm not getting married anymore and I still love this book. My only complaint is the same as many of the other reviewers... the binding really should be spiral bound. It's not THAT much of a hassle as I use a bookmark to track what page I'm on as I workout, but it would make it considerably easier to be able to lay the book flat. All in all a great book at a great price!
