Dust off the Stability ball - if you are looking for a differnt style exercise for itJun 16, 2010 I had a bit of trouble with my rating because there are several issues I can see using the term "for beginners" with this DVD.....
Beginners -- well to Pilates? Stability ball? Exercise in general? Depending on what you pick I would give a different answer.
Pilates -- I would say Yes - I own maybe one other Pilates and do not use it, so at least this caught my attention enough not to give it away. I felt the instructions were clear, demonstrated well and easy to follow. I would say a beginner could follow this.
Stability ball -- sitting on the fence on this one. I got this because I just don't have many DVD's for the ball and wanted to expand the use of the equipment. That said she is OK on the basic instructions. I think someone who has never used the stability ball could be unstable and would tend to give up.
Exercise in general -- No I would not say beginner - I could see trying to stabilize on the ball and follow the Pilates moves would send the user to the floor more than once.
I think this is a nice workout with great moves for toning, flexibility, and breathing techniques. It has the capability to bring your heart rate up. It is a nice add for an experienced fit persons library.
GOOD WORKOUTApr 13, 2010 VERY GOOD PILATES WORKOUT. IT IS FOR BEGINNERS SO IT IS NOT THAT DIFFICULT. I STILL FELT IT THE DAY AFTER. NICE INSTRUCTOR,VERY MELLOW.
Great!Nov 27, 2009 I really enjoy working out to this video. I can already see results. I really like the creative ways she incorporates the ball in the workouts, they are really effective and fun.
good dvdSep 14, 2009 I really enjoyed this workout. Lizbeth Garcia is great teacher, she makes it comfortable for the audience to be there even though we are in our homes. Some instructors are loud and obnoxious, Lizbeth is the total opposite. You will enjoy it.
Challenging but do-ableSep 11, 2009 I use this DVD on the days when I don't feel like exercising. I listen to Lizbeth Garcia's encouraging voice and then I push myself to do it. The movements are challenging, but you know what? If you can't do it (i.e. teaser on the ball), then you roll up to the point where you feel comfortable. It's a very relaxing way to do pilates. The DVD is 30 minutes long with 8 minutes of extra bonus (they are even more challenging.) Very do-able and very effective.
