Focusing on the biomechanics of the pelvic floor, which acts as a support for the inner organs and contains a passage for the urethra, the sex organs, and the rectum, this guide shows how the pelvic floor plays an important role in almost all movements, balance, and body posture. The exercises train the muscles and joints and improve the tone of the organs, thereby increasing energy flow, eliminating incontinence, and keeping sexual organs healthy. The mind-body techniques are used to increase awareness of this part of the body and to improve sexual stamina. | | | Product Details: | | | Author:

FantasticMar 16, 2010 This book is incredibly insightful, easily read, and easy instructions to understand the exercises in it.
Should be required reading in massage and yoga schoolsFeb 01, 2010 Actually, everyone would benefit from the information in this book. Unfortunately, the diagrams are a little vague in some cases. A good reason to pull out my anatomy and movement books for better diagrams and some Eastern CHI books for better energy analysis. The results are that I learned how to put most of the information together in an integrative way and realized that I knew more than I thought I knew. In retrospective, I wish I had had this book available at a much younger age.

Dancers can Appreciate!Jan 21, 2010 My daughter is a Dance Major in college and this author was recommended to her by her professor; as a hard working dancer, she has a perpetual hip issue which is what attracted her to this book in the first place. It is very informative as is all of this authors work.
Brilliant!May 25, 2009 This book is excellent. If you are working on a specific physical condition, it's fantastic. I used it during a troublesome pregnancy. Even if you aren't managing a condition, the concepts are great for maintaining form. For someone familiar with Pilates, this approach goes hand-in-hand. The use of imagery is very easy to do, and with much less stress than comes with physical therapy or other methods of muscle isolation. The only thing that could be better than this book is if Franklin, himself, came with it.

fantastic bookMar 10, 2009 When i first got this book I was really excited but I found it hard to keep up with. I put it down for a few months. When I picked it up again, I made sure to do all the exercises while I read them, I immediately knew that was my problem. I think people that have not liked this book didnt' because it is very specific, the movements are very subtle and they dont have the patience to reread the same page over and over again. I find that when I do the exercises I still start with ex no. 1 and work my way through them one at a time. Someday I may not have to do that, but not for now I do since there is so much concentration needed. I highly recommend this to all people, but know that it takes yes, effort!
