 Too Dated So Just OkayJul 28, 2010
Okay, in theory this subliminal cd should work for weight loss; however, after listening to it for 8 days straight I just felt like the subliminal side was a waste of time. First off, it was produced in 1986. To Audio Activation's credit buying this cd was my first foray into the world of subliminal self-help so I'm not trashing their brand by any means. After 8 days I just couldn't wrap my brain around how this was a subliminal cd when all there is to side A is a woman speaking in a very soothing voice saying things like I 'love my body' etc. The affirmations were wonderful to listen to, but I didn't think it was going to do anything for my subconscious. I feel like 14 years later technology has advanced by leaps and bounds so it'd probably be better for me to invest in something more cutting edge used with a state of the art synthesizer (or whatever sound machines are used to make subliminal cds) for it to be worth my while. In contrast to side A, I absolutely love side B. It's just instrumental with ocean sounds etc. You can hear some subliminal talk underneath all the music which is actually what I thought side A would be like. So in all, buying this cd wasn't a total waste. I got a nice instrumental side out of the deal which I play pretty much every day while working. Not bad.

This CD is half talking and half easy listening music/ocean sounds with the subliminal messages. I like this one because it not only has good suggestions and affirmations but also I fall asleep with it and stay asleep. If I do awaken before time to get up, I play it again and am soon back to sleep. I figure the subliminal is doing its work. I'm not as anxious about losing weight. I am eating more wisely and better able to stop overeating.

If you are willing to listen for 30 minutes a day to the music side of this cd it will work for you. I also recommend educating yourself on what good nutrition is. Deirdre Imus has a great book to get you started, "The Essential Green You". I puchased both the book and cd on Amazon and the results are great! What are you waiting for? Order both today.
