I am currently in Session 1 in one of Sheila Kelley's dance studios, and this book reads very close to how my instructor teaches the class. Not too technical, literally how everyone speaks to one another. It makes it easier to work out at home as well because Sheila really breaks the moves down step by step. Granted, I don't have a pole at home, so I can't say that I would be able to teach myself any of the pole tricks, but for the floor routine it is a great buy. I am definitely going to look at her DVD's as well, just to have someone to "follow along" with.

An instructor at a pole dancing class recommended this book. I bought it, not expecting much... but it is truly a wonderful book! It discusses things that most women are too shy or too socially repressed to discuss, and makes it feel natural to you. Although I haven't had the book long, I already feel more confident and comfortable in my own skin. I suppose it helps that I already have a stripper pole, but there are PLENTY of moves and exercises in the book that you can do without a pole and be just as confident. They are fun and sensual, but let me just put it out there: there is nothing like pole work :)

Get the book! You won't be disappointed.

This book is great. Besides the extra added benefit of turning your lover on, the workout is very relaxing. You feel completely limber and stress free when you are done. You feel more in tune with a better understanding of yourself.

perfect for those who are just coming into the world of exotic dance. there is mostly information on the art of erotic dance and striptease and not as extensive info on actual pole work. contains workouts that can be done in as little as 15 minutes and as much as 60 minutes. You will become addicted!
